I'd have to spend awhile diving to find the imported commit for it, but sometimes in ~2011 before I played, xenobio got removed on tg.
... I wish it had stayed removed tbh...

there used to be a time when every shift had bags of holding and maybe every third shift had those bags turn into singulos next to the bridge, medbay or brig

Used to be able to have a person holding two bags of holding, put them in a bluespace bodybag, put that bluespace bodybag in your backpack, and now you just have a pocket BoH bomb that can go off even if you are stunned. I killed nar'sie with this strategy once. Another time there was a wizard who killed, sharded, and polymorphed people for legions of polymorphed minions. I had a guy agree to carry me in their pocket so that when they were eventually killed in the halls by a hunter and dragged to the wizard, I could just delete them the moment they walked up to us.

Yeah, it is kinda nice that random people can't just no effort wipe out a department but I miss some of the valiant sacrifices. I've stopped like 3 different round ending events with a BoH bomb and I really miss being able to do it. My favorite was the time a blob hit delta, started its victory lap by pathing all the way to the shuttle and started attacking people on it, and then all of the sudden it is a ghost staring at the shuttle. I had managed to get close enough to the blob core to BoH bomb it and save the station.

I've seen about 7, of which 3 I made myself when I decided to relearn toxins. I don't even know WHY Bagularities were nerfed into nothingness with how hard it is to get two of the damn things now to suicide with them.

The problem is toxins is not enjoyable. It just requires knowing the meta solution and anyone with no experience with it is just locked out. I had a round where we had been fighting and slowly losing to a blob in a war of attrition, I bought the necessary anomaly cores and just needed to activate them. Go to science to ask and toxins is untouched, the RD doesn't know how to do it, and no one I asked over comms responded and said they could do it. Blob ended up winning and I didn't get a chance to sacrifice myself to take it out.

It's incentivized too. Because as soon as there's an easy enough guide a monkey can do it, there goes a github pr changing the recipe. (Which makes sense because that means everyone knows how to make a maxcap bomb.)

It's quite literally something meant to be stared at from afar and not obtained which sucks.
