The application is not overly aggressive from my point of view; although aggressiveness can be subjective and is usually easier to spot or misread when it's on our own skin. To be totally honest, this thread and the chat on discord totally prove the feedback from the application response.

I feel like this thread is a great drama replenishment for our sick dirty minds!

I wasn't planning on being serious in this thread, but I got into a conversation over it, so I'm going to write my thoughts down here. I don't want to consider it damage control, but rather an interesting spin on how one might perceive the existence of this thread:

I do not believe there is a single other publicly-facing evidence as to why someone has failed their Candidacy period. We keep things under wraps at the higher echelons of the INTERNAL DISCUSSIONS tower, and whenever someone gets reamed in a cave, they typically keep it to themselves (unless otherwise revealed in something like a ban appeal). This is the first time where we have had an objective re-telling of why someone failed their candidacy (you can not be de-adminned if you were not a full Game Admin, it's a Trial Failure otherwise), and it's public facing. They've read the screenshot and posted it, and now everyone ever can read their own screenshot detailing the failings they ran into. I do not have much to say on the contents of the appeal other than this: It is an example of how someone could fail.

For a long time the status quo was to ghost people who weren’t suitable for admin. Or give them the run around and be as vague as possible. The response was blunt and a bit aggro and most importantly truthful. Whether you agree with the reasons or not, you now know the perceptions of you that you’ll have to change should you want to pursue adminning. I wish I’d gotten such a response the first time I applied.

Seems like a perfectly frank and reasonable response. No vagueing or "maybe"ing, cuts directly to the issues with your application and attitude towards administrating, gives numerous improvement points, and then qualifies it with the fact that improving the application won't guarantee re-admission due to trainers being averse to retrying failed candidates.
