I didn't want them to have the disabler because they kept shooting it at people/me at random. It wasn't a "lmao fuck you your gun is gone now for no reason".

This reminds me of an interesting conversation I once had with lead staff of other prominent ss13 communities. They were talking about how they would regularly read Ban Appeals and the associated peanuts for entertainment. One of them even unironically mentioned the Scriptis’ Zyb Index (they didn’t say the term “Zyb Index”, but talked about how it was interesting that people would collect logs and compare the amount of powergamey lingo they used to actual words). It was by far one of the most jarring things I’ve heard, and I wish I was lying.

When I worked for [major game console company] a few years back as support we would all read the ban appeal forums for entertainment on breaks. It's a universal constant.

I'd unironically almost like to see a character limit change happen on the forums in general.

Getting your point across in the fewest words possible and the simplest way possible is a virtue. I'm tired of needlessly long posts on the internet and just stopped reading them. I have far better uses of my already increasingly limited time.

Doesn't help when people confuse semantics and nuance as having to be or as being one in the same. Nuance is great, semantics and semantic nuance make my brain fry like an egg.
