Happy new years folks. The time where we all look back at our year and cry. Personally? Not me. Had a good year.

My new years resolution is simply to play antagonist more. I treat every antagonist round of mine like it's a big deal and only turn it on when I feel like it because "It needs to be grand!" or whatever. Just wanna do some mild griefing as traitor, really.

What are your new year's resolutions? It can be ss13/tgstation related or not.

2022/2023 SS13 resolutions for me

> become a admin at least once in a server -unfinished (maybe?)
> make an actual code change to a codebase -unfinished
> maybe actually try to run my own server for a while (probably not) -unfinished
> learn editing and maybe make a funny SS13 video (priority this year) -unfinished

this is mostly my list for last year and this year, i haven't completed much of it yet
year was kinda shit for me though, felt stuck forever

I’m kidding, this year I’m becoming a better admin (an impossible goal) going at least TRY to play on Bay (I was scared because it had no runechat), TGMC (what the hell is a “req”), and other servers. And try Sybil, at least.
Not now, though, Sybil is scary.

I played it for the first time last December, all the military stuff is very intimidating to me but hivemind is very fun. Basically xeno AI. And players have been very forgiving of me being a dumbass and not knowing what I'm doing.

As for me... I want to keep sweeping old code in the codebase, updating style, removing old crust, splitting old files.

I want to try and break out of my comfort zone more. Normally I just stick to easy, low stakes jobs like cargo and service because I don't want to get yelled at for being incompetent or screwing something up but its been getting kind of stale lately.

Especially with antags since I usually spend too much time prepping to do evil things that by the time I feel ready the station is already falling apart and the shuttle is halfway here.

SS13 goals:
Re-learn all the departments I've forgotten.
Become an admin (Highly unlikely after my first failed application, but who knows?).
If I can't become an admin, learn to code.
Use more custom emotes as mime.

IRL goals:
Get a new job (Important).
Banish the pizza diet.
Focus more on doing art.
Upgrade my PC because the GPU is ass.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good 2023. 2022 was a real meh year for me.

auto shotty will give you more shots and more chances to knockback and stun xenos but less damage
double barrel is only used as either a sidearm or in cheesy juggling strats
