Should we move the monkey back down?

Some time around the horrifical monkey humanizing refractor the positions of monkeys sprites were shifted (likely as a lazy way to make sprites work on them without adjustment. But this is an effect (with modern coding prowess) we can reverse!

The monkey on the left is what we have currently, and as you can see bases the head around the human. On the right is the monkey we used to have, as you can see the feet are aligned.
I personally am a fan of the lower monkey, as it really portrays that sense of scale. Lesser, unlike humans, etc.
But let me know your thoughts.

I prefer the one on the right, makes the monkey look small and weak while I am big and strong.
