ultrawide 144hz user here. as a former plebian with four (four!) monitors, i prefer the ultrawide. the only downside is that tiling window managers look dumb

If you're on windows (of course you are, you're playing gas sim), try Powertoys. You can set monitor turfs and snap to grid by holding shift while dragging the window. I have a big center one (27 inch equivalent) with the remainder as two verticals on the sides.

I dual-boot and I only ever use a tiling WM (i3) on Linux, and I seriously doubt I can do anything to avoid making it look silly, speaking from experience
