you should try enabling "Native Refresh Rate" in the advanced settings i think they added that somewhat recently, it can make your game look a whole lot smoother
also if you still have pokemon that you caught in 2016/2017 and you haven't made a lot of trades yet, you can get a certain number of guaranteed lucky trades
the whole thing is confusing and not communicated to the player at all but you might want to look up the requirements to see if you can still get some
