Sinful, you are mostly right about rule 8 in general.
In this case tho, the rule 8 thing was a final nail in the coffin, consisting of immature behavior, griefing, and multiple weird emotes and say lines. Either single of that things wouldn't have made me drop the hammer, but after i posted things in adminbus about it, doing a open brainstorm, and recieved similar reactions to what I felt about it, I had no more reasons not to.
I probably should edit the ban note, but The appeal is up, what I said is also up, so I think the paper trail is enough.
Also, I would probably lift the ban, but he did the zyb thing, and dug himself deeper by blaming his fuckup on someone else.
Would I call it my greatest ban? Definitely not.
Do I want to deal with people like him more? Second verse the same as the first.

Trying to piece this together here. ERP and being creepy is also disallowed on TG discord, for obvious reasons. It has a similar rule 8.

So how in the world can admins, without batting an eye, post some deepfried femboy thigh-high gif, while talking about cock, and then in the same breath ban a player for much less on the servers? I don’t know when or why the rule got misappropriated but it kind of sucks. You shouldn’t have to figure out who the prude admins are and awho before making your cheeky innuendo joke.

You make it completely impossible to appeal a ban by omitting what you are now calling the real reasons for the ban. Players cannot read adminbus.

The ban reason is incomplete/inaccurate, but it doesn't matter because you clarified what you meant in the appeal? I don't understand. Are admins expected to sort through appeal threads to understand what the note/ban in the account means?

"Blaming his fuckup on someone else" was actually him giving context around his IC chatlogs, explaining that the other player frustrating him was the reason for his self-admittedly improper outburst. That is not equivalent to saying "it's his fault!" it's simply showing that his intention was not to be creepily sexual, it was to say something incendiary because he was angry.

I know it sucks to deal with people. But that is literally what you signed up for. Everyone should get a fair shtick regardless of if they cause a headache to deal with. Remember you're never obligated to take a ticket if you don't want to deal with them.

It’s really IRKING that with these rule 8 bans, ANY NUANCE is completely tossed out. Man mentioned his wang? Give the copy pasted stamp all the admins are taught in training camp “We take rule 8 bans very seriously” and toss him to the wolves.

Nope!! It’s way easier to just read some cringe chatlogs and slap a 12-month-voucher-noscope on them in complete confidence. Sometimes it feels like we’re catering the rule to protect the 14 year olds instead of the adults that we all should be.

I remember seeing someone (A player) get very upset because someone used *kiss on their character's significant other from time to time. The server is WEIRDLY puritan, yeah. Like there's a difference between doing some *me emote about Frenching With Tongue or something, and just using the *kiss + handover thing. Or a "Love you." followed by a blow-kiss.

Though I think your example would be better if you kept consistency. It's the difference between going up to random fem statics and going "Suck me off" vs The Captain seeing you printing silver IDs and the conversation going "Hey, what the fuck do you think you're doing?" "Suck my dick."

Banned on the 23rd, appeals on the 27th. Not nearly enough time, if you're messing with a possible YEAR timer on an appeal where you DEFINITELY did something wrong you should really wait a while to let it sink in and cool off. Collect logs and evidence, portray your side fairly without pinning the blame on things, admit fault, etc.

If the penis portrayer did that, they'd almost certainly get a better shake but as it is now: they came, and shot too early. Premature, even.
