Not nearly enough time, if you're messing with a possible YEAR timer on an appeal where you DEFINITELY did something wrong you should really wait a while to let it sink in and cool off. Collect logs and evidence, portray your side fairly without pinning the blame on things, admit fault, etc.

I like the analogy. But generally you appeal permas right away, if you have any semblance of defense. Admins often say permas are doled out for free just to force people to appeal and come to forums instead of waiting it out.

It’s really IRKING that with these rule 8 bans, ANY NUANCE is completely tossed out. Man mentioned his wang? Give the copy pasted stamp all the admins are taught in training camp “We take rule 8 bans very seriously” and toss him to the wolves.
