I'm not sure that was the intended meaning behind it, but I like that interpretation. Monica Helms, the trans woman who created it, said:

they are undoubtedly similar but the confederate flag only has 3 stripes and people dont like confederate iconography anymore

Last time I went, there was too much bondage and it made me a little uncomfortable so I probably won't this year. I'm also a little disappointed how much they are subject to product selling and capitalism. It's like gay Christmas.
