Vekter disagrees with MSO too but he recognises that doesn't mean he can just ignore MSO's rulings. (It's hard to believe I'm propping up Vekter as a positive example yet here we are.)
MSO's ruling provides for non-lethal escalation, yet you used it to legitimise killing and round removal.

Enforcing rules by rote for the sake of some sort of purity is not how I operate. I'll leverage my own experiences and sense of right and wrong to try and make tgstation the best version of SS13 you can find anywhere.

Rules and rulings cascade from MSO/Headmins to Admins. Their enforcement is done at admin discretion. If you're unhappy with the way a rule has been enforced in your SS13 round, forums, discord, etc., open an admin complaint. Soapboxing on a peanut thread just means we're gonna point at you from the INTERNAL DISCUSSIONS tower and laugh.

MSO doesn't even usually intervene on admin rulings to begin with.

The reality and inherent risk of not enforcing the rules to MSO's requirements is less that you'll get deadminned, and more that you risk MSO taking a more active interest in that topic area.

Whether this is a "good thing" or not is unique to each case.

This usually tends towards compromise. MSO needs a stance that whatever admin team in charge at the time will - at worst - begrudgingly accept. And the admin team's enforcement needs to be palatable enough that MSO doesn't assume direct control of a certain area of enforcement.

But each and every admin is first and foremost a tabletop DM. Their goal is to curate a fun and compelling roleplay environment for SS13 stories to be told by the players. Disruptive players at the table get warned and barred from participating. And players that play disruptive characters outside of the scope of their role can face in-character consequences.
