Influx is really dumb. They could have very easily migrated all of that data to another region and charged exorbitant amounts of money for said move. Instead they just shut it down and data was lost.

It's a real fucking comedy that every company and every person is putting all their eggs in one basket with AWS these days. I get it from a data/service management and cost perspective but this is not sustainable.
