Staff have begrudgingly accepted non-humans in command! However, only ONE extra species can apply to each head. Which alien species are more fit for each head, and why?
Here's my list:
Captain: Ethereal, as they're already used to a hierarchy
Hop: felinid, being silly is perfect to command service
HoS: Lizard, They would probably be cold hearted, fit for the job. Besides, lizard sec is already common
CE: plasmamen
CMO: Moth, I'd imagine them to be caring
RD: They don't exist
QM: can already be played by non-humans, but if it somehow got restricted to just one, a lizard would fit best
This reminds me how I really want demographic data for each server, what species are playing what jobs and all that. As well as seeing what percentage of players play what species. It’d be interesting to see how it’s different on each server.
Interestingly in the last three months we got a lot more moth people in cargo. Cargo used to be nearly 100% human all the time but now it’s probably like, 60% human, 20% felinid, and 20% moth. Though, there have been shifts where I’m the only human and everyone else in cargo is entirely moths or entirely felinids.

Remove Ethereal from Captain (if any role doesn't allow a different species it would be that one) and add them to RD (coming from a recently uplifted planet with no advanced scientific culture they are the least appropriate candidate and thus the funniest)
Create seven new alien races which can only play a single command role each.
Nanotrasen was so set against putting any of the current races into command that they went out and found seven new random races just to mess with lizards.
CMO: Medical borg (This one is just personal preference)
CE: Plasmaman (obvious)
HOS: Ethereal (he is powergaming the autorevive) (permanent trauma of stupidity has no effect on him)
RD: Moth (nar nar got promoted)
HOP: Lizard (Doesss-the-papersss)
Captain: Felinid (They're the secret cabal running tgstation, now they're running the stations ingame too)
QM: A human and the "straight man" of the comedy troupe that is command
