Tbh I don't know what Lunchlady did wrong here.

It was in #shitposting-general, spoilered, and didn't actually have anything that either breaks TOS or is gonna get you fired (what are you even doing browsing spoilered images from Discord at work you dumbass).

I can get perhaps deleting the image if you're that sanctimonious, but a ban is wrong here unless I'm missing something.

Reading the non annotated part of the note reason seems to sum it up. If an admin does something, and you don't like it, there's channels for that. Re-doing the thing is rarely going to work out well for you.

I'm not really a discord/forum mod but in case anyone is surprised by this idea, its the same in game via Rule 6 - admin rulings are final - if you dont like it, there's a place for you to take that up, if you decide you just know better and gonna do it anyway no matter what the admin said/did, well, you're probably gonna get banned.

I don't think anyone is questioning the validity of the ban based on the fact it was a repost of something removed.

The questioning of the validity of the ban is the fact the post was spoilered when lunchlady posted it, in the shitposts channel. It doesn't break TOS, it doesn't break discord rules, and if you're dumb enough to open a spoilered image from shitposts-general at work and get in trouble that's raw skill issue. Idk if the original image was spoilered, but it if wasn't and then reposted spoilered, that's literally lunchlady following protocol to avoid trouble and share the stupid image on the stupid image channel.

For which they were rewarded by getting banned from the entire discord for half a week.

My take is:
If you delete something on Discord and you don't want it reposted, you should probably cite a rule.

If they repost it, you then do an escalated punishment against the rule the content broke instead of taking the admin disrespect angle.

We genuinely have enough issues with MSO using his host status to arbitrarily decide he doesn't like a thing timing out or banning you for it. We don't need headmins or DJs doing it too. It's too close to manufacturing a scenario where you have cause to ban someone and it's stinkywiff. Like when Ze Polis stop you, you exercise a right to refuse questioning, then they arrest you for obstructing their investigation.

Chesify didn't request to spoil it if you look through discord. Lunchbox also said that they spoiled it later. There wasn't a request to spoil or tag ever mentioned. In fact, only things said were to not post it at all.

Truly, the second an admin gets uncomfortable about anything instead of a player, the whole world and story changes.
