When you appeal a ban theres a general expectation you wont be punished more harshly even if it turns out the ban was too lenient.

If you ask for a review and in the process of the review the headmins find out that you were seperately a huge asshole doing things that you could be banned for, there's no expectation that they won't smack you down for that, seperate from their judgement on the actual appeal.

I don't think that's how it works because it's not the Supreme Court's jurisdiction.

Now if someone's rights were violated AFTER they beat puppies / kicked children, then it would become the Supreme Court's issue, but only the part where the rights were violated. That is assuming the case makes it all the way to the Supreme Court and it doesn't get solved in some District Court beforehand.

This should be seen as a separate ban not because of the appeal but rather the heaps of new mostly unrelated evidence for something else comes up.

I know ban requests aren't a thing and most admins don't want to field PMs of discord snapshots from random players saying "please ban this guy"... BUT he was exceptionally vile and he was acting this way nonstop on Manuel and the Manuelcord since November...

(Probably a moot point anyway, since this is such an exceptional circumstance, but still)

there really is no set limit on what you can approach admins with - the worst response you will get is "sorry but we don't think anything bad is going on here."

i would encourage anyone to speak to someone they trust if someone is being abusive toward them, no matter who they are or their position in the community.

if you need to get help out-of-game then you can ask for a thread in the #help channel on the tgcord, where you'll be given a private space to talk to admins. other than that, use whatever means you find most appropriate, even if that's PMing an admin directly that you trust, and if there's a better way, you'll be pointed towards it.
