It was done as a "haha temporary unless?" which is cringe because people WILL like it, and then they'll just be upset when it's removed. That or we have a new a crummy species to deal with.
They railroaded EOB on it which makes me sad cause I like having him around.
It's headmins gesturing at game design by enabling a config that exists semi out of convention while ignoring the actual dev team's opinions. That's within their rights to do cause separation, but it is frustrating and feels kinda hypocritical from xemo given his stance on co-operation.
It was done last minute by the outgoing headmin team, which means none of these points can be meaningfully discussed because the people responsible can't DO anything about it anymore, so all complaining about it does is hurt their feelings.

I realize this reads as just deserts but I think it was a bad decision and it frustrates me. Comparable to roundstart flypeople to me.
