What are admin midis from an IC perspective?

I've seen folks ignore midis, pretend their coming through the intercom from CentCom directly or even just RP that everyone is having the same audio hallucination.

Maybe we don't need a specific canon policy about this, but let's discuss.

How should characters react to admin sounds?

sometimes there are pretty neat raisins to pretend characters can hear it, like when highway to the danger zone is playing and some players will just start typing out the lyrics for the fun of it. Doesn't really harm anyone and I haven't seen any instances where knowing IC that music is playing harms the round.

Regarding the actual point, I dunno, it's basically whatever people come up with. Either people all react to it in OOC and everyone kinda follows along, or the characters begin to react to it IC and people get the picture. Anybody who gets to the Pirate DJ station can probably request we play MIDIs in time with their broadcasts or whatever and maybe we'll do it. Or like suggested above, CentCom is trying to improve morale in their typical style. I don't think it matters a lot.

I've always seen it as BGM. Like a soundtrack to a movie, the characters (mostly) dont hear what the audience hears, the same with your character. Its their to add atmosphere or laughs respectively, I don't think characters need or should hear the music imho.
