it was spaceworthy (for whatever stupid reason) and a straight upgrade to the captain's hat
and when it was around i didnt really follow the github or armor values very closely, but i think it may have had armor values that rivaled HoS armor values which was kinda dumb

SWAT Helmet is the second best helmet armor item in the entire game, only slightly behind that of Death Squad armor, and is spaceworthy. Literally the only downside is that it doesn't have built-in lights, but that hardly matters when you have I think 70-80% melee protection and ridiculous ranged protection.

To be fair I recall one experience when a Nuke Op fired a (this was at least 1.5 years ago, if not 2 years ago) C20r at my head while I was wearing the SWAT Helmet, only for the bullets to not stun me. I then took out my Energy Gun and killed the Op, while he was screaming "w-w-whhy!" in confusion as to how his gun was not stunning me.

Honestly I don't give much of a shit any more about 'muh armour values', there was no problem before and all discussing the values does is drag out arguments where nothing gets done.

Nerf the helmets armour values if you must satisfy your nerf boner, but I still think it was a neat item for the Captain, one he has had for many years before someone (I think Pap) removed it.

Because I know that if the helm is ever given back to the cap that it'll have little protection.
