Bottom post of the previous page:

Just make the target slip when bola'd. It only has to be one short slip, bit it makes sense and is a sufficient notifier of a successful bola attempt.

How about a 1 tick stun for bolas so it's like a disarm as well

i tried Weaken(1), but i think depending on the life ticker or whatever the stun can range from almost nothing to a full one-two seconds

besides, even with the shortest stun imaginable, that would still be a guaranteed ranged disarm that ignores things like shields. it would ruin nuke ops in particular (unless i balanced them around shield RNG which is shit and i have no interest in doing).

Well I mean we already have thrown spears which are rape machines so why not go all-out and make bolas the ranged weapon of choice for revs and tiders alike?


Though yeah I guess it would be a problem for ops in particular.

Do a health check and only weaken mobs weaker then half health. That's what I did for chair smashing.

I agree with penguin. The better they are the more likely a coder will redtext to one and grudgecode its removal.

maybe i'll make like a reinforced bola that can trip but idk how i would make that available to the crew, maybe put ninja stars/advanced bolas into the same box and give them to traitors as the throwing weapons bundle?
