The shed skin can be used as a resource to make lizardhide purses and hats, and also give an excuse for the janitor to beat up lizards for leaving their nasty skin trash everywhere. Eating the skin gives you skink herpes.

I mean I wouldn't care about that as long as lizards had some form of nerf to it buff em all you want hell give em the ability to escape grabs with a tail detachment that works as a slip just make them way slower in the cold or something
itd be even cooler if their color was based off health tho in every way to the point you can tell if the lizard is sick by its color if you are smart
