I'd really like the newscaster functionality to work on PDAs with the ability to turn on newscaster notifications so you don't have to read news stories from newscasters. Space journalism should reach far and wide, to anyone with a PDA!
Also, how about a verb in the 'object' tab that allows me to turn on my PDA light so I don't have to bring up the window every time I want to use it?

Re: Some PDA suggestions
You shouldn't be able to make new stories on a PDA though, makes it much less fun to be a maintenance troublemaker and having to dart out to sneakily make new stories.
The most excessive signature on /tg/station13.
Still not even at the limit after 8 fucking years.
The evil holoparasite user I can't believe its not DIO and his holoparasite I can't believe its not Skub have been defeated by the Spacedust Crusaders, but what has been taken from the station can never be returned.
OOC: TheGel: Literally a guy in a suit with a shuttle full of xenos. That's a doozy

Mass messaging option for librarian. Upgraded cartridge lets you ignore turned off messenger.

Re: Some PDA suggestions
PDA extension ideas:
These are just little ideas. Some of them I call attachments, which are external modules that connect to the PDA through the cartridge port and expand the PDA's functionality. Cartridges here are like data cards preloaded with codes to expand upon the PDA's pre-existing ability.
S.N.A.P.S.H.O.T. attachment:
Allows PDA to take pictures.
G.R.E.Y. S.I.R.E.N. cartridge:
Opens PDA message window, sends message written in the window to all assistant PDAs.
C.O.N.C.E.A.L. cartridge:
Sends encrypted messages through PDA that cannot be intercepted/read by AI.
W.I.R.E. M.A.S.T.R. attachment:
Makes PDA double as a multitool/tray scanner.
T.R.A.N.S.L.A.T.E. cartridge
While the cartridge is inside and toggled on, anything unintelligible within proximity of the PDA becomes translated and messaged to the users PDA(it messages itself the translated speech)
These would be a pain in the ass to code, I glanced at PDA code and I did a 180 on out of that tab.
