Atmos techs should get a new type of pipe from the dispenser called a Remote Sensor Pipe. This would show what type of gas and at what temperature/pressure the gas was at. You could check this info on your PDA.
This would be useful, as you often don't know when someone is mucking around with atmos until people over the radio start crying about plasma, or you see it yourself. The PDA shouldn't have an alarm, that would be too easymode, but for how easy it is to screw over the station with a plasma flood, this would be welcome.

Re: Remote Sensor Pipes
If you're an atmos tech and you don't realize someone's fucking with the plasma in the air pipes, you're not doing your job.
Honestly, all it takes is a slap with your analyze at any section of exposed blue pipes if they're being stupid and paying attention to whoever's drawing plasma from the supply for the possible 'lolsupercannister' trick.
