Noticed today on multiple occasions that the slowdown effects from a disabler went into effect before the bolts actually hit, almost as soon as the officer fired.
Dunno if it's because badmins keep fucking with the tickrate, but it's not very fair if you can't dodge.

This is simply true of laser projectiles in general, and the visual is an unrealistic representation sometimes of where it is/how fast it is travelling
Ex; if you shoot a laser at someone one tile away, sometimes a beam won't even appear

Many code bases already have instantaneous lasers, but I think in our case it is a gameplay> realism kinda thing

I just tested this out today, this doesn't even happen. Might have been some freak occurrence of lag on the round you were playing. Also this seems to be a bug report, put it in the issues on git.
Apparently I was an director or something.
