clowns should exhale N2O so the longer they're in a room the funnier it gets
The image of a room full of clowns increasingly growing louder with uproarious laughter and all the clowns suddenly dying/exploding is quite a colourful one.
New Clown Idea: N2O sensitivity
Clowns are particularly sensitive to nitrous oxide. They laugh when exposed to very minute concentrations of the gas, but if they breathe in too much of it, they explode into multicoloured confetti, leaving only their brain behind (which looks like melted rainbow wax from all the crayon eating they've been doing). On the bright side, their mirthful laughter prevents them from getting knocked out from nitrous oxide exposure, ensuring that they can keep joking and pranking until the very end.
