Currently it isn't a very useful item because the person can tell pretty quickly that it wasn't a normal scanner.

There's only one traitor item that causes radiation like that, when I got affected by it I'd recall everyone who would have scanned me with a medical analyzer in the last few minutes and the answer is usually only one person which made me suspicious of them the entire round
