Mimes breaking vows
Imagine: If a mime breaks their sacred vow, the mime council sends a silent assassin to deal with them.
This would be a ghost role with the objective to retrieve the mime's tongue and/or mask, without killing them.

Re: Mimes breaking vows
an antag role that is triggered by a single player's action is asking for chaos tbh
there are better ways to punish vow breaking that are both fun(?) and not a recipe for disaster

Usually plays as Aya Shameimaru, Remilia Scarlet or Rumia Kuroda depending.

Re: Mimes breaking vows
How about a ghost role where the mask gains sentience and acts as a therapist to the wayward mime?

Just give mimes a per-letter chance to bite their own tongues when talking, cutting the message at that point and causing some brute and bleeding.

How about every time someone picks captian, the SHADOW REALM captain spawns and trys to usurp the real captain
Life is too short for anything meaningful and too long for anything memeingful

I still want wizards to have arm=mounted decks they use to play SS13-themed decks that summon those monsters/spells/entities.

Re: Mimes breaking vows
Wouldn't require even to be relevant to the round, with a admin inputted or flavour text excuse to spawn the mime assassin, datum antag fodder.
- Kill any such mime
- Else just do generic infiltrator shit & survive until the end of the round/you eventually die
A small part of me wants it to be the only way to collect specific research points to build a Reticence mecha in robotics by adding mute toxin & lot of additional minerals as to its particular construction along with the special tech points from deconstructing the mime assassins equipment, its practically already written into the mecha's description.

Talking as a mime should do clone damage per character along with inserting mute-toxin also proportional with characters inputted.

I was thinking we could force an incomprehensible French accent filter on everything they say so even if they do speak its incomprehensible.

Re: Mimes breaking vows
Mimes should get permanent brain damage for breaking their vows. The explanation is simple - mimes by nature are silent, so the only kind of mime that would speak is one that is not right in the noggin.

Re: Mimes breaking vows
The real question we all need to be asking is, can the HOP/Captain force change someone into becoming a mime? Would these restrictions still hilariously apply?

HoP given Mime != true mimes to the same degree that getting chaplain access doesn't also give you access to using the bible.delaron wrote:The real question we all need to be asking is, can the HOP/Captain force change someone into becoming a mime? Would these restrictions still hilariously apply?
