Jumpsuits or workplace attire? (poll)
So in ss13 we have two styles of clothing predominately that there's this struggle between jumpsuits or workplace attire.
Space jumpsuits are one-piece suits like below that generally zip-up and fit the 'space' aesthetic more.
Workplace attire would be khakis, button-up formal shirts, etc. Basically, pants that are separate from the shirt. This style of clothing fits the 'retro' aesthetic more, because even if jumpsuits are more useful in space, the employee in jobs would likely dress like their non-space station counterparts just to look professional.

What should be the primary clothing choices for roles on the station? Should we use a mix of the two? Should we replace the current jumpsuit-styled clothes with more retro-workplace-styled clothes? Cargo workers have always worn shorts instead of full jumpsuits, too, because they're more comfortable of course.
Assistants will likely never not have cheap, disposable one piece grey jumpsuits, but the rest of the jobs need to be considered, Namely: security and medbay.

Can't imagine why we shouldn't have both, at least in the form of lockers.
And add more suits for chameleon jumpsuit.

I voted jumpsuits because its spacier
ITS SPACIER DAMN IT
ITS SPACIER DAMN IT
The most excessive signature on /tg/station13.
Still not even at the limit after 8 fucking years.
The evil holoparasite user I can't believe its not DIO and his holoparasite I can't believe its not Skub have been defeated by the Spacedust Crusaders, but what has been taken from the station can never be returned.
OOC: TheGel: Literally a guy in a suit with a shuttle full of xenos. That's a doozy

Can't we have retro-space? I mean, surely there's enough sprites floating around all of SS13-dom for Jumpsuit AND Uniform for most jobs.

<wb> For one, the spaghetti is killing me. It's everywhere in food code, and makes it harder to clean those up.

It would be nice to have consistency, although at this point I don't expect it.

Alright I was just making sure it wasn't a problem to anyone else if we started moving some clothes to the 'attire' range for stylistic reasons.

As long as you're not replacing existing defaults with things that look like hairy ass, I don't think anyone will care.paprika wrote:Alright I was just making sure it wasn't a problem to anyone else if we started moving some clothes to the 'attire' range for stylistic reasons.

Just don't forget to leave old clothes in lockers as options.
