Invunerablity lasts until they are taunting to face the user perspective camera southwards staying there for a time, which is a opportune moment to get a back-stab with a kinetic crusher or unload into their bodies.

If you are too far away, they will throw large chunks of ice, and if you're close enough they'll do a vendor-slam. Usually the timing of the vendor-bodyslam is shortly before they taunt, so a agile miner can play chicken to avoid it and get in some free hits.
