Make Space Ninja spawn earlier

Not entirely sure how it works currently, but i believe Space Ninja can only start spawning an hour+ into the round. Seeing as the round times are getting shorter, and long 1-2 hour rounds are limited to ling/extended these days, can we have Space Ninja spawn at much earlier times? Like say 20 minutes. Not a 100% spawn obviously, but 20 minutes until it starts checking(or whatever the code does).

And make the event blob spawn sooner. Right now it'll only spawn after an hour and 20 minutes, and it has to get past all the other possible events as it's pretty low weight.

Rounds are getting shorter? Are you sure? I would think the Mulligan system would have changed that!

Because shit like gang doesn't mulligan ever and that shit is so fucking common now.

Also every round singulo is getting released 15 minutes in since no one bothers to fucking check on it these days.

I havn't seen a cult round in weeks since gang was added.

It hasnt, as far as i know. The station is either too destroyed from the first antag, or will be destroyed by the new ones.

Regardless, its true that Ninja has become more and more uncommon. I dont play 24/7, but i still havent seen a single Ninja in weeks. Having them spawn earlier sure would be nice. Maybe they would have time to complete their objectives rather than spawning when the shuttle is called or when everyone is dead.

Most rounds don't mulligan because the prereq for mulliganing is that every antag to that point has to be dead. On super high pop it's rare to see 6-8 traitors ALL blow it. Likewise things like cults or gangs usually won't lose ALL their members. It could be theoretically set to fire on a percentage of antag dead, but then we run the risk of it becoming the tensioner.

But yeah people rush call for a lot of reasons, some valid, some really really dumb.

Code the tensioner as a button. anytime 50% of a wave of antags are dead it spawns more.

Code the tensioner as a button. anytime 50% of a wave of antags are dead it spawns more.
Tensioner will eventually exist as a weird sort of (admittedly ragin mages level of crazy) metamode type if everything goes according to plan, and it'll work something like that. There'll be a button to work that system in existing rounds, but it probably won't be on by default.

Admins can tell you that I've slowly been turning the check antagonist screen into the mulligan status console (featuring: the antags) over the course of all this.

Or maybe we could try tweaking gameplay to return the average round time to around an hour like it's supposed to be.

That seems like a massive undertaking compared to just changing a few numbers in the space ninja code. Id rather someone actually did something rather than silly pipe dreams that will never happen.
