Shadowpeople for Maintenance Sect Chaplain (or as a roundstart race?)

The idea in mind is similar to how Technophile sect chaplains can spend a large amount of favor to turn themself or someone else into an Android, but a Maintenance Sect counterpart that turns you or anyone buckled to the altar into a Shadowperson. The only problem with this idea is that it would be a nightmare (pun not intended) to get enough favor to turn anyone into a Shadowperson. That's a LOT of dead rats you'll need and it's not going to be anywhere as easy as it is to become an Android unless the rite to make Shadowpeople is cheap.

Alternatively what I would prefer is for just Shadowpeople to be a roundstart race forever, not just on halloween week. Shadowpeople fit SO well with the Maintenance Sect.

I already think that the android sect sucks and should be replaced with something else so I don't want a second one
