Greater Form, an ability for changelings
CAN ONLY BE UNLOCKED BY GETTING IMPREGNATED BY A FACEHUGGER OR BY ABSORBING A XENO
changelings can now eat xenomorphs which counts as like 10 DNAs (and unlocks the new ability), and when impregnated by a xeno they will automatically get cured of it (and unlock the new ability) instead of bursting once their timer is up
Greater Form allows you to flip between Xenomorph and Humanoid forms
yes you can use (most) changeling abilities as a xenomorph, now you can be a fleshmending regenerating alien of death

gives lings incentive to get xenos on the station so they can either A) eat them for MAAAAD DNA, or B) work together with them (and become one of them) for ULTIMATE UNLIMITED POWER

Technically doable without the updates, but much nicer these days yeah.

It would be horrifying and awesome if lings actually like ate/stole people's brains/hearts/whatever to LEVEL UP into more angry horrifying monsters, until they can't even hide their true form anymore.

Buuut, people didn't seem to like old ling where you leveled up by husking people, to get more powers.

If it was per-organ upgrades rather than per-person upgrades, I bet more people could get behind it.
1 human has Heart, Brain, Appendix plus whatever else we need to fluff up, Lungs etc.
they could even be tailored, eg: Hearts mean more Vitality etc.

Absorbing a heart gives you more better resistance to brute and burn damage.
Absorbing a brain gives you more chemical points for selecting new abilities.
Absorbing an appendix gives you faster chemical regeneration for your abilities.
Absorbing a pair of lungs gives you better resistance to oxygen damage.
Absorbing a pair of kidneys gives you better resistance to toxin damage.
Absorbing a spleen gives you nothing. Nothing!

Now you too can sit in Genetics for an hour and biologically dissect monkey-humans.

Yeah, oldling's worst trait by far was the fact it encouraged you to kill everyone to level up. So that's not viable.

I'd say it could work with the right setup, such as not being able to just sudden murder and then become someone else to throw ALL THE HEAT off. Having a cap on how murdery it can get would also be good.

Oldling was awful because there was no defense against parastingGGNORE aside from sitting more than 2 tiles from EVERYONE EVER or running in a pack of 3 or more people

Both of which are hard to do in this shitty atmos simulator.
