Team Antag Teams

Post by Scott » #126587

What if players could form groups to play team antag together? Instead of picking random people, the game would select people that belong to the same 'team' to play as Nuke Ops or whatever team antag mode it is.

The aim would be to improve the quality of team antag rounds.

This is a lesser form of whitelisting, also it would destroy antag chance equality. Everyone eligible for an antag role has an equal and fair chance to obtain it. Super robust powergamers would be chosen excessively over newbies, forcing a wave of nerfs to balance according to their playstyles alone. Anything that favors one eligible player over another creates unfairness.

Here, "eligible" means anyone who is not banned from a role, has it flagged in their preferences, and is in the appropriate selection list for that role, such as a readied player at roundstart.

and it would be blody hard to learn without somebody robust to teach you.
