My suggestion is that everyone should be able to set a Slimeperson name via setup that is automatically applied upon becoming a slimeperson unless the field is left blank and your regular character name is used instead. Silly and abstract names like Squeeborp for example.
Additionally, for a cost of slimejelly, the slimeperson can inject special jelly to offer ghosts control of Slimeperson copies wherin individual slime names will kick in or a random one will be drawn from a pool allocated for that person if one is not set. This allows people to get back into the game 'clean of all items' however not dissimilar for a cloner and can be a punishment for dying, in addition with careful management you can still have enough jelly juice left over to make a vessel copy for yourself.
Feedback would be appreciated on the idea please.

Re: Slimepeople additions
That would be weird, why would your name change when you became a slime person?
Slime people aren't like cyborgs, you turn into one mid-round but you don't become a different person.
It's only post-death transformations where you're assumed to now be someone else.
"Getting ghosts back into the round" also isn't the intention of slime splitting and there's basically no chance anyone would let through a feature that allows random ghosts to return to life as a mob that's functionally a human with additional powers. That would open up a whole new and far too accessible world of post-death griefing, from people who are supposed to be part of the crew, but have also been in deadchat.
Slime clones have no laws or objectives, and nothing to stop them from just griefing. They're identical clones of you, why would they contain random other people's personalities?

Re: Slimepeople additions
Yes the reasons slimepeople splits don't result in more players is:
1. We already have golems in xenobio, which fill this niche
2. Because slime copies are "the same person" it would logically follow that this would need to duplicate mind attached things to the new person (aka suddenly there's two traitors instead of one)
3. I can say with some confidence that for most purposes being a slimeperson is now better than being human, so people shouldn't get that status for free by dying.
