[Poll] Medical/Security Records

In all honesty, I have no idea why this isn't a feature.
It'd take nothing away from the game, unless I'm missing something from the coding end.

The only problem is. Are security/MDs allowed to detain people with records that suggest they are dangerous/mentally unstable? Pretty sure there will be shitty records all over the place.

If that's not the case, how do you separate records that have been filled from the round start and that have been filled during the round?

I think that security and medical should be in their total right to play along that record.

Another problem. Do we deal and how with people filling "fuck u shitcurity" in security records? Do we ban that? Do we leave it? Do we allow security get revenge?

It's not as simple a change as it looks like.

For the record, I'm all for it, just pointing out few issues.

Why wouldent they be able to? Records are there normally for a reason.

There is a suggestion somewhere to tag who put in the note, and a similar thing for arrests.

Rule one them? Plus, from a gameplay perspective that sounds like someone who should be arrested for messing with the records.

I still don't know why you can't set a persons notes via the console, and then examine them with the sec/medical huds to see any added notes. It'd really cut down on the "Why is this guy in jail?" if the warden could set "he murdered the captain" or "he broke into the teleporter" to a person, and sec could just examine them to see any notes the warden added to them.

The tag thing would make it more simple, as you have less things to press...

It's roleplay policy that you can't "remember" people's antag status and/or deeds from previous round, so I don't know how this would even work.

it could work not for changes in game, horewer, it could work very well if the players set it up on their setup screens, think of these as a way to expand roleplay.

For example,
Sarah Papapishu: Security record: "Well behaved and pacifist, tends to incite trouble by proxy" Medical Records: "Fit, but light sensitive, huds of any kind makes her get an headache".
Karen South: Security Record: "Extremely violent, will look for excuses to maim or murder any fellow crewmember" Medical records: "Athletic, hiperactive, please avoid administering coffee and hiperzine"

For extra funsies, the records (which have no direct bearing on the round) could be randomized at round start.

Once again, security/medical character records are not -records- for crimes, they are CHARACTER NOTES for doctors and security during roleplay.

You'll notice when you bring up one of them to edit, it says enter NOTES here: or something. It's just like fluff notes for your description, but more fluff for sec and medical. They aren't modifyable by sec or medical.

Its not roleplay policy, the entire roleplay policy of this server is like one line, its server policy to restart the game fresh at the start of a round, without it people would immediately go and murder people who were traitors last round because "but he a traitor" and make the rounds slightly more self-contained.
