xeno idea type gamemode?

so i was thinking today, how can we mix up the xenos :xeno:

the queen one round said to his hive that they're called the alien reich and that got me thinking, what if like aliens were like a gang type gamemode not like an actual gang type gamemode but like there can be more than one queen, so like how abductors are, like they're abductors but they're seperate?

so they'd be from different hives, so you can have unlimited queens plus you could name your hive, so it could potentially be 2 alien queens on the station battling each other cause idk they're territorial like wild dogs or those oragitangs that work in packs plus also this could mean alien on alien action ;)

then pretorians would be like LTs like in real gang, but im not saying make this into an actual gamemode

I actually thought of something like this before. It may seem retarded at first glance, but think about it.

Because after death you will inevitably eventually become a new alien larva, the death is not the end. The destruction of the station doesn't matter either. The ball just keeps rolling until one side overwhelms another. It's the true team-deathmatch, where everyone gets involved and everyone gets a turn behind the wheel.

Red and Black xenos


Would be interesting. Ultimately I feel it'd just result in a shit gamemode without changing how xenos work entirely. Would work if we had a planet map due to lack of vent access everywhere.

There was an actual AvP stategy game that might be good inspiration for this sort of thing. They had a type of lab grown alien called the K-series that were bright yellow.

Dark Horse made a comic series about the Xenomorph homeworld where red and black xenos killed the shit out of eachother.

Actually now that I think about it, this would be cool as shit if both red and black xenos started on lavaland. Perhaps both versions could have their own chance to spawn as players on lavaland, and they could infest lavaland creatures to grow. As its own roundtype they would be boring though.

What if RvB Xenos started on the station, like, two hunters and a queen per side. Each side has to capture and convert more humans that the other in order to claim more of the station and win (like bleb). This gives the humans something to do until they get killed and assimilated, and then they can continue onwards after that as a Xeno?

stop asking for xeno game modes

they're round enders. you're meant to fight them with laser cannons and mechs.

making them into a xeno vs roundstart station mode involves nerfing the shit out of them and then having people whine forever about how they were so much better before.

Because people don't know how to play them. It doesn't mean they're weak.

Same with shadowlings. Just because people don't know how to play it doesn't mean shadowlings are weak. They actually kick immense amounts of ass.

Xenos are indeed deadly. WJ had me turn the queen into a 400 health murder tank with pixel projectile stun spit, along with a 250 health, slightly faster assualt tank as her personal bodyguard. Xenos can always find the queen, so they can easily congregate around her.

They are strong, but you CAN defeat them. With fire and lasers, obviously. The station has plenty of both. If you succeed in taking down the queen (which is intended to be like a boss battle) you have about 4 minutes to clean up the rest of the Xenos before the praetorian (if it somehow survived) replaces the old queen, or a drone becomes a new prae and queen. Additionally, killing the queen (or any adult Xeno) allows you to steal many of her powers.

You're all missing the point. It's ok for Xeno to be stronk and unbalanced, because in the hypothetical RedvsBlack mode humans would be destined to extinction by design. But if you somehow managed to survive, it would be a great feeling indeed.

How exactly would there be more xenos popping up in the red vs black mode? Don't they need live humans? And if everyone is dead then no more xenos

When there's no human hosts left, upon alien death an egg will spawn somewhere for the opposing xeno team. Red Rover Red Rover, make the Xenos come over. What could go wrong.

Because it could theoretically work. You wouldn't need to nerf Xeno, as you suggested.
