TV Camera

Give the Librarian/reporter a TV camera. It be a hand held device (maybe two to use?) and when equipped and toggled it activates and AI like eye camera (so it can move with the object). Anyone clicking the "LIVE" Newsfeed's in the bar etc can view the camera and hear dialogue from that area.

Essentially its a mobile security camera with an intercom.

they have tactical headsets/helmets with cameras on

the best use I ever saw of one was when there was an away mission through the gateway and they wanted to make sure the other side was safe, so they put the camera-headset on a humanised monkey and tossed it through the gate

Only if the warden gets some sort of buildable mounted recorder in the interrogation room & court (for recording and watching live feed from that area on a dedicated console/whatever later rather than watching cams) with a transcriptor that can locally in that area translate into a localised comm speaker in the mounted rig and it becomes a sepia slime regeneratable thing (so its harder to shoot pornos with it unless you're librarian/journalist or xeno scientist)

I guess you could do this fairly easily by giving the librarian an item, hiding a camera set to the thunderdome network inside it, and letting the item toggle the activation wires on the internal cam

Librarian should start with a Detective's Camera (that thing starts with about 30 photos compared to a regular camera's 6 I think)

This is the future of yesteryear. It's all CRT monitors and ROM cartridges and AI cores that take up an entire room.

IIRC the L O R E is that retro is cool in the future so all the style reflects that. Even the Syndicate think the past was cool and give their operatives revolvers that would have been used in the 19-20th century.

Im not sure I'd know how to do that. I'm not really a coder by any standards, maybe you could talk me through it one evening though? I'd be curious to understand the process, even if a lot of its just a copy paste.
