Basil: Improved Whitelist

There's just too many new players signing up as headroles on Basil, and it's ruining rounds.

Someone's got to do something about this shit. There needs to be a better system in place to make sure new players aren't taking up massive roles that they have no idea how to do.

Instead of a timer, make it based on rounds played. So to unlock any job other than chef, barman, other rp jobs, you must play 10 rounds as an assisant. This would unlock all department jobs but heads. From then on it's play base x job to unlock x head job. So to unlock HoS, you'd do some rounds as a sec officer to unlock warden, then a few as warden to unlock HoS.

Having 10 rounds needed as an assistant or civilian job before giving access to department jobs keeps new people from being overwhelmed and out of important jobs.

Even if it's just for sec, this would absolutely work. You NEED to know the game as sec to play. Having that much time investment to unlock HoS is not too much.

Yeah, this is really necessary, expecially for security roles, it's really tiring to play as security or have to deal with extremely new newbie-security who think harmbatonning/griefing people is a good idea.
Oh yeah, would also fuck up ban evaders like that Rshoe guy.. Hopefully.

first reply seems like a good idea if i understand it right, like, after you did the assistant/librarian crud, you'd have to cargo tech a few rounds to unlock QM too.
How do you resolve the captaincy? or the HoP-captain line in general?
AI as well, How would you unlock borg? to then unlock AI?

In concept Seems fair to me, throw it on sibil too.
