space mermaids

Half man half spacecarp
They have tridents for stabbing and net guns for grabbing
They can swim in space and don't need oxygen
Their leader has a magic conch that he can blow to summon all space carp on the z level to his location
They are a better antagonist than changelings and clockcult combined

Just gimme a few hours. I can work conversion in there somewhere, mark my words.
I'm an ex-coder for /tg/. I made the original versions of clockcult, shadowlings, revenants, His Grace, and other stuff.
I don't play, code, or participate in the community, but I occasionally post dumb stuff in the hut.

They can swim in spess but don't do well on the station, unless it's zero G.

They are also allies of Crab People.

Make Space Mermaids able to sing that makes anyone able to hear them unable to harm anything and slowly approach the mermaid, mania motor style, and be easy pickings for them to kill and eat.

Time to make those ear muffs more useful.
