Anyway, camera lights are currently broken. There are now two ideas floating in the air:
1) Make the button, plain and simply, toggle light on a camera closest to the eye. That way AI can turn on as many lights as it wants, everywhere it wants.
2) Make the button turn on all camera lights near the eye, and make it update as the eye moves.
What do you think would be better?

2. would be more convenient for me and I do not think it is a good idea to allow the AI to light entire rooms with no drawbacks.

It's not broken currently. Pressing toggle once makes it light up the closest camera. Pressing toggle again turns that camera off. Pressing toggle again turns on closest camera again.
You could probably light up whole station with cameras and it'd be pretty good light. I don't think they even require power from APC.
