Like I actually don't get how that guy was a threat. He had like 3 drones wandering around his room and the robot tentacles only reached like 30 feet. Just weld the door shut until he quits trying to mindfuck the AI or whatever he was doing and then let him out.

Metacritic scores hovering around 7.5. Not a terrible score but certainly not great for a flagship IP of a major studio like Bioware. I don't really understand why some people are so fucking intent on the game failing/doing poorly though, you people are just as rabid as the ones who say the game is amazingly perfect and has no flaws.

I didn't really give a shit from the outset because the entire premise seemed like a really cheap way to avoid dealing with the end of ME3 while at the same time discarding the MASSIVE amount of established setting in Mass Effect, which was one of my favorite things about it.

I'll probably wait till it goes on bargain bin sale and then buy it for the multiplayer, since i had a blast with the ME3 multiplayer.

The game seems to do very well with its combat system, while lacking in its dialogue and plot.

Amusing since the original Mass Effect had a crummy combat system but good dialogue and plot.

Game seems mediocre at best, the thing that really stands out to me are the stone looking facial animations of Human characters.

Doubt I'll get the game.

The fucking mouth animations are kinda bad at absolute best, and fucking pengu tier at worst. Seriously games from ten years ago have better animated mouths. Glad the combat is fun though, means the multiplayer is probably gonna be solid.

They need to add more to multiplayer and fast. It's literally copy-paste of ME3 multiplayer but with less characters and customization.

People have been trying to replicate the buzz and fury around "tortanic" for a decade now, Bioware has social views they disagree with, they're touching a beloved series with a noticeable decline in quality, and EA has a long and proud history of gutting franchises to squeeze some money out. A perfect storm of things to get mad at every Bioware release.

ME3's multiplayer did start off pretty sparse, but the eventual diversity was what made it so fun and they really should have used that as a starting point rather than going from square one again

After the whole DA2, ME3's endings, DAI, I got this game with zero expectations... well, can't say it's too terrible, it's certainly better than DAI, for now.

Combat is nice, but the cover system sucks hard, instead of grabbing the cover with a key, like in ME, and safely shooting from there, you need to hug the cover, sometimes jumping out of it (literally by muscle memory hitting space)

I like the mobility the jetpacks give you, and you have absolute freedom to make cool combos,
I already got the black widow due to the research system

Space exploration is pretty, but slow, I can see it getting dull.

Didn't the feminazis get completely assblasted over Cora's hairdo? She's a pretty meh character, the boring kind, like Jacob, or Kaidan, but other than that she's not bothersome, so I don't get what's the heat over her hair.

Also, I really REALLY hope I'm not wrong, but so far, this game isn't as.... progressive as DAI (or forceful about it), at the very least I'm not getting conversations in the ship between mass murderers about how speshul they are because they like to take it up the ass.

Personally speaking, the politicized elements are just the cherry on top. I cannot believe that a AAA studio would make so many amateurish modeling and animation mistakes, let alone release the game in that state. Also, whoever wrote this game should be shot.
