Blood Contract and Conversion Modes
So, if someone is marked for death with a Blood Contract, should it override the rest of their team's loyalty, or should they just ignore the fact the person has been marked for death?
This question arises from a clockwork cult round in which I used a blood contract on a cultist, and that cultist was not attacked by their fellow cultists, who should have been murdering them. I ahelped it, and CitrusGender said the target probably should have been attacked, but he can't chastise the entire team for not doing so.

My personal opinion is that it overrides team loyalty. Depending on the ruling, it might be a good idea to adjust the message to reflect this.

Re: Blood Contract and Conversion Modes
Do you even actually have to kill someone who's blood contracted?
I always saw it as more "okay this guy is valid we encourage you to salad them" than "drop whatever you're doing to hunt this one guy even if you're miles away or he's on your team"

Re: Blood Contract and Conversion Modes
Yeah one time I was blood contracted and I went on a colossal murderboner while my officers attacked me at first and they fucked off when I realized I'd kill them. Afterwards I still was red so valid but my officers protected me. I assumed I still had antag status and just executed everyone who attacked me the remainder of the round.

Re: Blood Contract and Conversion Modes
I honestly think blood contracts should make you just valid.
Forcing everyone to stop doing what they are doing (healing people/autism/arrests) for some dumb miner loot seems like bad form and difficult to enforce.

tbh it's hard to enforce people not attacking a valid person. what am i supposed to do, bwoink the 2 dozen people that decide to not drop everything and track the guy down?

Re: Blood Contract and Conversion Modes
Why is blood contract a thing in the first place.

Re: Blood Contract and Conversion Modes
It is up to everyone involved how to react to it, anything else would be a nightmare to enforce
Either that or make the item clear team antag status

Re: Blood Contract and Conversion Modes
With that said if you try to valid a teammate then your teammates should be able to valid you for “defecting” if you choose that option.
