Because the potion to gain wings isnt the same as the mutation toxins that alter your race though I could entirely understand if it was more related to hulk than an actual seperate species. Also I remember reading on wiki somewhere that AI sees them as human. Waiting on headmins to chime in

Scanning them with a health scanner displays their species as angel and you dont need to be dead to be registered as one

I think operating under the guise that anything that adds a new external mutation, body part or something that is clearly not naturally Human should render that person, by the Silicon's standards, as Non-Human.

I saw a wiki entry here or somewhere else where there was a graph of every single species in the game and it listed angels as human so ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

That said, I don't think we should try to reinvent the wheel. Health scanners regard angels as being a distinct thing from humans species wise and so we should treat them as such.

The interesting point is whether the removal of wings cause a health scanner to see someone as human/lizard again or if they remain an angel.

Going off topic but I believe the justification for NPCs being classified as Non-Human is to stop Silicons having a heart attack whenever a large group of hostile NPCs get tossed onto the station somehow.

Also, I do not think Silicons can stun NPCs, so they are further castrated in this situations.
