Was thinking of adding the meteor event that happens on the station as an event for lavaland (called meteorite instead)
Also would it be worth re-using the ominous beacon to attract meteors? increase their frequency?

Re: Lavaland Meteorite
the impact zone would have minerals in it and be perhaps surrounded by melted iron and form walls? maybe offer a spawn point for a space born pathogen or lifeform?

Re: Lavaland Meteorite
If you want to increase the chance of meteors then up emag the station goal for meteor shields.
I would love an event that lands a randomly shaped meteor impacted somewhere on the edge of the station. I've done a few admin events similiar to that where the crew needs to set up emitters to stop it from happening and they've been well received.

Re: Lavaland Meteorite
I think polaris has a meteor strike event for their planetside maps
space maps get the regular meteors, planetside gets a warning and then an explosion/crater on a random set of coordinates and everyone on the z-level that isn't buckled gets knocked to the floor
