Settling this via referendum is impossible. Like if readding felinids wins 51%-49%, that's close enough that the removal people are gonna whine and complain because they think they still have a shot at getting their way. And vice versa if removal wins by a narrow margin. The correct way to solve this issue is to pick an option and say "this is what we're doing, end of story". At this point I would literally rather have "my" side lose this way rather than relitigate this bullshit constantly.
