I don't think I'm excited about anyone. Recent headmins have disappointed me since they seem to have a combination of burning out/just not being able to make the hard calls.
Alot of people running just seem to be naive too which doesn't help. Im not even sure who I want to win.
The naivety aspect is definitely something you can get a feel for with specific runners every election. Not trying to dissuade people, but I really implore that people consider the bigger picture and ask themselves if they would be able to be reliable and have the integrity to step up and do what needs to be done. People can certainly talk and then fold when it matters most. It happens.
I can very much understand not wanting to set fires making hard decisions (I don't like fanning flames either), but having the persuasiveness to mitigate those hard decisions isn't exactly a born trait. We can all get better at it, and even be great at it. Being tactful and diplomatic only makes making those hard calls easier.
There is a reason I brought up what headmins do in prior elections, and I was glad to see MSO take that and add it as a recurring topic for elections. I'm just not interested in peoples pet projects (Realistically what is stopping people from making their pet projects happen without being headmin), what I am interested in is if they can do the things in this thread with a sense of integrity and reliability:

That includes making the hard calls.
