Also to everyone slamming san for saying he's biased: at least he came out and straight-up admitted his bias. All humans are flawed in some way. I'd prefer this to a headmin who hides their bias behind a bunch of bullshit reasoning that they came up with to justify a ban that shouldn't exist.

The unfortunate truth is that the only good arguments are that some of the warnings are flimsy (ERP filter warning) and that none of the forum or discord admins tried to punish him earlier with warnings and bans if his behaviour was that toxic.

Now return to the present! Rave's robotic responses are not a symptom of his inability to write with emotion or authority. They are a symptom of writing only to win a war of linguistic attrition. This is the textbook empty post! To do so is a symptom of writing not with a paucity of emotion but with all too much. The only administratively whole posts are from san and timberproes. San laments at his own short comings, seeing them as much more than anything he could hope to mount, a truly human conflict. He does this as Timber preserves the sanctity not only of the appeal but that of the peanut by guarding the margin between them both.

So much of what we would like to think is true is optimistic assumption! Perma bans? Infallible evasion detection? Don't you see what this place is? No man can leave here without his own permission. A perma ban is not placed to ban those who lurk behind the screen, only their moniker! To perfectly evade without detection in part requires you to ask those who banned you how to unbuckle oneself from the arrivals shuttle, meet all the eyes who already know you again, ask meaningless questions about policy you already know and to speak disjointedly as you adapt to known norms and in-jokes. All those who arrive have already left.
This is why you read the thinking cap. Its to see who you're really talking to. Those who have lasted too long without donning a new title ban only to give themselves the illusion of time passing. Out with the old, in with the old acting new. Only in this context can we see it clearly. Rave's goal isn't to preserve the game. Rave's goal is a feeble attempt to preserve the "community culture". His Freudian slip in that "Newbie Cap" thread is all the confirmation we could ask for. Rave is, or at least has deluded himself into thinking this is his first account here at TG station. That he didn't join during the chaos of a website migration or even in the tide of mandalore. You can only leave when your pride tears through the forums, making yourself believe you are better for leaving, but you aren't, the only thing which can progress from such an act is the withering of your own comprehension of yourself. I don't have any hard feelings towards Sinfulbliss. Before this if I was asked to comment on him I'd have to take a second to form an opinion. Like other peanut thread readers, I know him from the threads he starts and the occasional wild one. Looking back through threads I remembered the moments where I had a concern but dismissed it because I didn't think it was too bad and I didn't want to start a big thing over it. Making a lot of these calls is difficult, especially because you don't want to be the stickler and you don't want to have to deal with the fallout.

Before I placed the warnings and ban I spoke with the admin team. Other staff had more informed and stronger opinions about Sinful and his engagement of the community. I always ask for advice before I do forum actions because it feels weird to have to make such strong calls on things as subjective as forum posts. But ultimately the call was mine and I have to own that.
