[Player Poll] How satisfied are you with the current Headmin term's rulings/policy?

Post by Pepper » #711432

This term is pushing the envelope in a lot of ways and I'm curious to see what the player base's opinion of the recent rulings and changes have been.

Metagangs are bad because they encourage the autists (haha you dont know what i meant by that) and metacommunications.

and the dynamic issues are self-explanatory.

Cool, player says largely meaningless thing that maybe isn't even a headmin thing, but who knows, because they never explain, and in fact refuse to elaborate. But thinks they have a foundation from which to debate etiquette.

I just feel basically every policy ruling is more towards MRP. I feel the headmins do not understand LRP.

Also responses to ban appeals are generally poor. Either not motivated well or look like they didn't look into them at all.

We need LRP to actually be LRP and not NRP pretending to be LRP. This is a step in the right direction. This game simply doesn't work for NRP.

I’ll ask you why? The vast majority of The LRP playerbase come here for our relaxed rules. Why should LRP have to change itself to meet your weird platonic ideal of what SS13 is?

Yeah I've been bugged by that a bit. I don't admittedly know how a majority of LRP players feel about LRP though to be honest.

LRP should obviously have some standards, but it seems like this headmin term really wants to fence in the prairie, for lack of a better way of saying it. I'd be annoyed if a headmin term started pushing to make Manuel more LRP or HRP (granted Manuel is just MRP with TGstation characteristics)

I've never seen a term more willing to depart from the status quo than this one. That carries its own implications but I think we'll really just have to wait and see how this terms changes age. I'm curious to see if this will change the type of headmins we see going forward

Honestly I'd be neutral to positive on the poll considering Bible's efforts on policy... If it weren't for the fact that this headmin team wasn't also messing around most of the time with rather poor adjustment of Dynamic's settings. Dynamic was already poorly tuned but nowadays it's reached the point of being borderline unplayable to me.

inb4 it turns out it's not a headmin thing and is instead a codebase thing where some minor change caused some of the things we've seen like dynamic spitting out midrounds like there's no tommorow.

Ah shit, how do I revote on a poll?
Also, who the hell am I supposed to blame now whenever dynamic decides it wants a wizard, a blob and a nuclear operative team all as midrounds? (which admittedly sounds like the start to a great joke, if only there was a punchline)

I'm pleased with the policy work. A lot of the time it feels like the comedowns are parsimonious and commonsense but well-considered.

I think the values behind a lot of decisionmaking are laudable, and we've got people willing to articulate them and stand by them.

There are issues, but I'm hopeful for how they're being considered and worked on more openly.

My massive issue with this term is how lots of the changes remove the IC solutions and force the issues to OOC so instead of taking self action you have to sit still in a locker and answer admin pms or you get in trouble for acting on your own. In short please don’t take your player agency.

Everyones platonic ideal of what ss13 is is weird until it becomes policy and then people get used to it. The only justification thats required is that they think itd be better for the game until you get down to the details and start examining each individual policy. The status quo is OK, but it isnt great. God bless any term that tries something different

It feels like TBM is doing everything for some reason right now. I bet the others are active on discord or whatnot but it would be nice to see their opinions more on the forums.

I wasnt a fan of closing appeals and peanut threads early, but I think that issue was learned from.

Insane policy ideas (merging servers and distiguishing them with threat level) , but those were just ideas and advertised as such. I like that, even if the ideas were not good in my opinion. More of that yes.

The real question is where the heck were 93 (so far) players club participant forum posters dug up from.

The real question is how many of these vote will go away when I fix player club restrictions not applying to voting.

I didn't feel the need to contribute, since a good chunk of my gripes have already been documented by other users here. I'm not in the strong disapproval category, but I feel like things could be handled better.

Nah dude I mean where are those players? Vote is at 98 but we only see the same old 20 boomers in the player's club.

Bumping this thread because I’m interested in how this poll ends.

I’m not too happy with this term outside of Fikou, it feels like a massive overcorrection for how based last term was with how hard they’re trying to reign in LRP. Please don’t touch LRP anymore, we like how things are and TG is the last fun and non racist LRP community left.

Some of the bans from headmins have been alittle sus but they have been amended so far and policy hasn't gone far enough in any direction yet for me to warrant forming any opinion on that.
List of my favorite TG Staff.
