Add in power couplings to the powernet. placed around the station at random intervals power couplings serve no actual purpose aside from having an alarm on them that engineering and AI can see if something is wrong with them.

Every 5-15 minutes, one or more couplings has a chance to fail on its own requiring and engineer to investigate and maintain them. A number of things could go wrong with them, from broken or shorted mechanisms causing the coupling to not put out power right, polarity being screwed up, mice getting inside of them and chewing on components or even a random item getting lodged inside.

To fix a coupling an engineer would have to unscrew its panel and crowbar it off, then examining the coupling would have a chance to inform them what is wrong. Once per minute a crew member can observe a couple (multiple views in a short period by the same person give the same message) with round start jobs giving the following success chances: CE 75%, Engingeer 65%, Atmos 45%, Captain 45%, Science 35% and everyone else 30%. Actual repairs could be using a multitool on them (reverse the polarity) using a screw driver (re-calibrate the couplings) use wirecutters (remove debris) wrench (remove broken parts, use metal to fabricate new ones) wire coil (rewire the coupling). Using a crowbar replaces the panel. If the wrong fix is done to a coupling, then they have a higher chance of exploding or sending a surge to the nearest APC, overloading it and tesla bolting anyone nearby it, shocking the person working on it and/or causing a slow chain reaction of other nearby couplings to being breaking down.

Other crew could mess with couplings as a (slightly) safer way of sabotaging the powernet if they don't have gloves though active engineers are more likely to find the sabotage. Because what clown doesn't want to shove a metal rod inbetween two giant magnets and hope that security down the powernet has to deal with lightning bolts flying out of their APC?

Make wizards terrifying and unbeatable in 1 on 1 combat. No more being fucked by a single guy with a buckshot shotgun. Shit like making lightning bolt instant and use explosive tesla bolts, fireballs extremely explosive, and reducing the cooldown heavily on basically every spell.

Rework wizards completely to behave like they do in the Black Magician Trilogy. Specific pool of energy that slowly recharges over time, if they go above that pool they take stamina damage and once that is out, die.
Oh, yeah, and they can instantaneously kill anything that's even lightly bruised by touching it and draining all of its energy, which allows them to exceed their natural limit.

Syndicakes heal everyone! They contain Doctor's Delight, which heals the four main damage types slowly, while draining nutrition. Medical Doctors are exempted from the nutrition drain.

They used to go cold until machine upgrades became common and suddenly the kitchen had a (near) infinite supply of food AND omnizine by just shoving donk pockets back into the microwave when they went cold for 2-4 to pop back out. I know on one code base it would only cook 1 and spit the spares out as cold, allowing for limitless and waitless supply of om nom noms.

All assistants spawn in maint round start, in varying degrees of undress. They all get their ID and PDA, but beyond that, they are scummy, dirty, and disheveled after being forced away from the bright main hallways and into maint, prior to round start. Damaged/no jumpsuits, no shoes, maybe no headsets sometimes. Maybe randomized clothes.

Dorms should be moved into maint entirely and be half where assistants spawn. Give the space hotel a use if people want to go erp/logout someplace.
