Just going to drop this off real quick.
Add a mech with a small amount of required initial research with mech-thrusters. Give it worthless speed station-side and limited cargo space for research goodies.
For the weaboo in all of us, add a combat mech with high research demands, not as robustly armed or armored as the Gygax and Durand but can move through spess. Bonus points for being a variable fighter.
Mechs with mech-thrusters for Robotics.

Somebody, somewhere, is going to make a thread to add on-station motorcycles. It's inevitable.

So, that sounds like 1) a RIPLY with an extinguisher, 2) marauder/similar
That said, yes to both. Make 'em look like pods aswell.

This, this is an example of what I leave for you.
Also, these days I mostly play Ursit McStation, mostly because I like roleplay.

I tried Mobile Suit Ripley. It didn't work. For some raisin, the Ripley wasn't affected by the extinguisher.
