Not to mention assistants aren't guaranteed to have maintenance access.
Don't put them anywhere they could get stuck in. Just have them spawn in the public areas, like dorms, bar, tool storage, lounges, etc

It's not going to be random since assistants spawn starting from the upper-most-left spawn point, and then file out left from there, and down row-by-row. You'd need to fix that first.

The souther flasher was removed, people were complaining before hand (Someone posted a bug report on it I think on Git) that the flasher did not reach the entire HoP line, I added in a second flasher months ago and its gone now. Don't re-add it as long as removing the flash is as simple as applying...

Yeah, I don't like how secure tech is included in 2.5.2.1. If someone wants to use it they can use law 2, but otherwise, I think it's secure and not frequented enough to justify bolting it at least. The other areas mentioned are workspaces. This is a non-essential storage room.

SoS is very open to player feedback. If you want to know what the weights are or want to influence them, I'd suggest starting a poll and sending a PM to sos. Last I checked, extended was 1 on sibyl. Sybil and Artyom has different probabilities, because I requested that SoS change a few of the values...

If we must keep their protective functions, how about giving hardsuit helmets restricted vision range (eg welding mask vision). It doesn't get in the way of anyone's job, but is a downside all the same.
